Summer Worship
Sing a new song to the Lord;
let the whole earth sing to the Lord.
Sing to the Lord, bless his name;
proclaim his salvation from day to day.
Declare his glory among the nations,
his wondrous works among all peoples.
-Psalm 96:1-3
One of the great sounds of summer is when worship begins. You can hear the music across the camp and it is the cue to pray for the kids’ hearts to be open and responsive to God’s Word. I love these verses because it goes beyond just singing. We are proclaiming the good news and giving praise for the many things God has done for us. That is worship. Putting our focus on the one who deserves it.
As the groups have come this summer it is hard to believe we are already approaching the halfway point! Many people have come together from our donors, volunteers, staff, church partners, vendors, and many more to see summer camp take place. Even with all this help, it is because of God’s provisions we have been able to do so. He is the one to be praised!
Enjoy the photos below of worship, friends, food, and lots of crazy actives. I hope it gives you a glimpse into what summer is like at Tejas and how to continue praying that Jesus is praised and that people’s hearts will be transformed!
